Construction Complete on The Bridge Sports Complex Baseball Fields

Turfing of the infields and additional upgrades to the baseball complex have been completed intime for Little League Opening Weekend next month.

[Bridgeport, WV] March 18, 2024 – After approximately seven months of construction, The Bridge’s baseball fields are complete.

Construction on the four baseball fields began in September 2023. Dirt infields were replaced with modern synthetic turf. Several additional upgrades to the baseball complex were completed simultaneously:

-       New and improved warning track

-       Installation of new sunshade

-       Revised signage

-       Renovated bathrooms

-       Refreshed bollard light poles and leisure tables

-       Upgraded bleachers

All the baseball-related projects are wrapping up in time for Little League season to begin on April 13^th.

The entirety of the walking path has been reopened. Previously, a portion was cordoned off for safety purposes during construction.
