[Bridgeport, WV] October 25, 2021 – The Bridge Sports Complex is excited to announce the continuation of the City of Bridgeport’s longstanding relationship with WesBanco as it becomes the exclusive banking partner of The Bridge and titular sponsor of the WesBanco Fieldhouse.
WesBanco is a customer-centric financial institution that was founded in 1870. WesBanco offers a full range of online and mobile banking options; a wide variety of business and personal transaction account options; competitive business and personal lending services; and a full suite of commercial banking products and services. The Bridge is proud to move forward as a partner with the region’s most reputable financial institution.
The five-year collaboration will yield many positive results, including the development of the WesBanco Community Fund which will provide financial assistance for programs at The Bridge. Nationwide, the number one barrier keeping kids out of sports is cost. Both The Bridge and WesBanco prioritize community involvement and want to create opportunities for everyone to participate. The WesBanco Community Fund will make programming more accessible to those that may experience financial challenges. Working together we strive to offer a user friendly online financial assistance application. The program will apply to a wide array of programming, including summer camps, youth and adult leagues, and more.
The partnership will also rename the 56,000 square foot fieldhouse as the WesBanco Fieldhouse. The fieldhouse contains six state of the art basketball/volleyball courts that are utilized by camps, tournaments, leagues, and rentals for basketball, volleyball, and pickleball.
WesBanco’s Marketing President, Nick Taylor, expressed excitement about the WesBanco/Bridge partnership. “WesBanco is excited to work with The Bridge. This is a great opportunity and we can’t wait to see where it goes.”
Mayor Andy Lang voiced similar sentiments. “We look forward to continuing to our longstanding relationship and working with WesBanco to foster growth in North Central West Virginia and provide opportunities to everyone in the community.”
The partnership went into effect October 12, 2021.
